E2, Not Just A Number In Bingo Anymore

My E2 came back just fine testerday (don't know what the number was). So, I started my stims this morning - Oh Joy! :)

I keep looking at the calendar and counting the days. Somehow I keep hopeing the time will get shorter with each count. Sigh...

I realized something last night... I have never had this much Foll.istem or for so LONG. They are planning 11 days of stims @ 500, and I usually only get 7 days @ 300 in before they do an IUI. So, I sure hope the Lupron holds!

Last time I had 11 follies, so I also hope they know what they are doing... I don't want to take a ride on the OHSS train... Blecgh!

I looked at my schedule again, I go back for the next bloodwork on Sunday, not Saturday. Ooops! Hey, that's kinda like a freebie - one less day!

Congrats on getting the stims started!

I am sure if your E2 climbs too high and your ovaries start making too many follies, they will drop you dose.

With IVF, they're usually willing to let you grow a few more follicles, as they can control the fertilization and minimize the chance of multiples. As My Reality said, your dose will be changed if you having any problems. And that's why you get to do all of that fun bloodwork and wanding :)

Congrats on starting!

I started to type up a whole rant about "the more follies the better" but - eh. Happy thoughts - only happy thoughts for your cycle!

Umm, not that it's any of my business or that you even asked, but...

About the Lupron holding. As you get closer to your ER, you might want to have them check your progesterone when they do your bloodwork.

In our case, the Lupron didn't hold and our cycle was canceled. It could have all been prevented.

(Okay, I'm down off my soapbox now.)
